About the Item

From Anchor Hocking, a green Uranium Glass pitcher from the Circle Line, circa 1930-1934. A large and heavy piece holding 80 fluid ounces, or a bit over two liters. The Green Uranium glass glows beautifully under a UV black light due to the uranium oxide content in the glass. The upper rim is finished with a rope form edge, the bulbous body shows concentric circles over a paneled form. Perfect for orange juice at the breakfast table, iced tea for lunch, or a mixed cocktail before dinner. The Hocking Glass Company was founded in 1905 by Isaac Jacob Collins in Lancaster, Ohio, and named after the Hocking River. Their Uranium glass is highly collectible for both the color and the quality. 8 inches from handle to spout, x 6 inches W x 8 inches H Excellent vintage condition.
