Antique Wooden Boxed Tantalus Bar, with Glas Decanter, Mid 19th Century

This is a beautiful boxed tantalus bar from the middle of the 19th century. The bar, also called a travel bar or advocate bar, is made of birdseye maple veneer and has ornaments of brass as well as mother-of-pearl inlays. It stands on cushion-like small feet. Another darker veneer was used on the edges, which makes the bar even more elaborate and elegant. The glass of the bottles and jars is old and original with air pockets. Unfortunately, the set is no longer complete, one bottle and some glasses are missing. The key to the lock is present, so the whole case can be folded and locked. A luxurious addition to the home bar or simply as a special decoration at home. With this small bar there is always something to toast!
