Chase Metal Works, founded as a family-owned business in 1876, started as a metal producer and became a major supplier to the U.S. during WWI. After the war, Chase retooled its business and began making high quality, machine-made art deco products for the home and changed its name to Chase Brass & Copper Company. At the onset of WWII, Chase converted back to wartime production. Following the war, Chase chose to cease manufacturing its barware lines.
