Art Deco Pair of Glasses and Ashtray Chrome Holder for Games or Bridge Table

About the Item

This rare pair of Art Deco chromed metal glasses and ashtray holders for a bridge or games table was crafted in France circa 1930. Each piece is made of high gloss chromed brass and can hold two glasses and a removable lidded ashtray. The pieces are adjustable for a table with a thickness of up to 2.38 inches (6 cm). The holders are for glasses with a maximum of 2.38 inches in diameter (6 cm). Each piece is stamped "Bar Bridge Deposé" (bar bridge patented), and its design and crafting are attributed to Maison LeMaire in Paris. Dimensions: 6.32 in wide (16 cm) x 8.25 in deep (21 cm) x 5.13 in high (13 cm). Note: Maison Lemaire was founded in 1896 in Paris. In its heyday, it was one of the most prestigious Parisian luxury interior decor firms, with over 400 references accessible. Note: Cocktail glasses are not included in the sale.
