Art Deco Silver Cocktail Shaker

$7,279.46

About

Stylish and very good quality Art Deco silver cocktail Shaker with a tapering hexagonal body, typical of the Art Deco era, and removable lid. This unusual example has a side handle and spout, reminiscent of a stylised fire extinguisher. Weight 21 troy oz (649g) Art Deco was a popular design style in the 1920s and '30s characterised especially by sleek geometric or stylised forms. It represented luxury, glamour, exuberance, and faith in social and technological progress. For that reason silver cocktail and barware were popular categories of goods to reflect the style of the time.
