About the Item
This elegant barware silver plate, champagne ice bucket, or wine cooler was crafted by Silversmith Desvignes, Paris, in the 1940s. The bold, streamlined design has a superb Art Deco feel. The solid stepped handles enable secure handling of this excellent piece, whether loaded or empty. The barware accessory is marked on the underside with the silversmith's legal stamp and hallmarks.
Measurements: 10.25 in wide (26 cm) by 8.07 in deep (20.5 cm) by 7.88 in high (20 cm) - container is 8.07 in diameter (20.5 cm).
Note: Maison Desvignes was a French silversmith located in Paris, 3rd arrondissement. The craft workshop was active during the first half of the 20th Century.
The company was then bought by the goldsmith Lagriffoul et Laval.
