Continental Silver-Mounted Cut-Glass Wine Carafe German/Austrian, 1st quarter thru last quarter, 19th Century, marked with a crown before 800, followed by an indistinct symbol, inscribed d. Aug.26, 1821, and monogramed, on the lid. The faceted-cut flared colorless glass body with a silver-mounted neck, spout, cover, and handle, all chased with stylized Gothic elements, the underside of the lid with traces of a gilt wash. Height 12.5 in. (31.75 cm.)
