About the Item
This rare pineapple-shaped ice bucket is an eye-catching design object from the 1970s, crafted by the renowned Italian artist Mauro Manetti in his Florence workshop. Manetti’s creations are sought after worldwide for their unique design, fine craftsmanship, and sculptural quality.
Unlike the more common silver-plated versions, this example is gold-plated, giving it a particularly striking and glamorous appearance. The insert is made of aluminum, which ensures practical use and easy cleaning.
Over the years, the surface has developed visible traces of age: the upper part shows rust marks, and the golden surface has suffered in places. Therefore, it can no longer be described as being in top condition. Nevertheless, it remains a rare collector’s item and a true statement piece that immediately draws the eye.
Stamped with "M.M" and "Made in Italy" on the underside, this pineapple ice bucket is both a decorative object and a piece of Italian design history.
