ABOUT
An original mid-century bottle opener by Juvento Lopez Reyes. Crafted of fine quality Mexican Sterling silver. Depicts a figural mallard duck with orange glass eyes. Marked Sterling 925, Hecho en Mexico and silversmith makers mark.
CREATOR Juventino Lopez Reyes 1915-1999, Mexico.
DATE OF MANUFACTURE c.1950-1960.
MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES Sterling Silver.
CONDITION Good. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor scuff top back of its head. Minor patina, very shiny.

HISTORY
Juventino Lopez Reyes, Mexican, was at his height of his creative power in the 1950's. His style was fixed firmly in mid-century Danish design with its simplistic form but yet fitting perfectly into its function.
