About the Item
Six sterling silver mint julep cups. Made by Scearce in Shelbyville, Kentucky. Each: Straight and tapering sides, and beaded and molded rim and foot. A great Nixon-era set evocative of social and political tensions from half a century ago. Five cups from the Silent Majority first term—silent because knocking back the bourbon—and one from the second term that is perfect for embattled solo drinking. Fully marked including maker’s stamp and presidential initials RMN. One has Roman numeral II. Total weight: 27.8 troy ounces.
