About the Item

The sensational expression of Art Deco made from the famous Hagenauer Designer and Company in Vienna Austria. This unic piece is made from nickel-plated brass and and is embellished by the dynamic representation of this elegant rooster (height of 6cm) as a handle. The twelve cocktail sticks (length of 9cm) decorated with a red pearl made of high-quality plastic. The current company owner, Magister Hagenauer, has personally vouched for its accuracy. Karl Hagenauer (1898–1956) was an Austrian architect, craftsman, and designer. He was the eldest son of Carl Hagenauer, the founder of the "Werkstätte Hagenauer." Initially specializing in traditional "Vienna Bronzes," the company was acquired by Karl Hagenauer in 1928. He expanded and managed the business until his death. In recognition of his achievements, he was appointed to the board of the Austrian Workshops and the Austrian Werkbund. His style before World War II is classified as Art Deco, and after the war as Mid-Century Modern.
