About the Item
Strawberry-shaped ice bucket signed by Mauro Manetti, made in Italy between 1960 and 1970. A rare model in silvered cast aluminum with a stainless steel interior. The lid, adorned with leaves and a stem, faithfully reflects the volume and texture of the fruit. Both functional and decorative, it is suited for serving ice cubes or frozen desserts.
Marked on the base: "M/M MOD. RIS. MADE IN ITALY", "MOD PRIV." and "FIRENZE". A representative piece of mid-20th century Italian design.
Mauro Manetti is one of the most influential Italian designers of his generation, known for his innovative and creative approach.
Throughout his career, he has received several prestigious awards, including the Compasso d'Oro in 1987 and 1994. His creations are now exhibited in major international museums, including the MoMA in New York, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
