Works of Royal provenance crafted by two of the most celebrated silversmiths of the 19th century, this stunning pair of wine trolleys bear the coat of arms and ducal coronet of the sons of King George III, with coasters crafted by Benjamin Smith and trolley bases created by Robert Garrard II. The coasters, which bear the full hallmark of Smith with the date letter for 1808, are detachable from their later trolley bases, which are hallmarked by Garrard and date to the 1830s. The entire set, including the wheels, is crafted in an incredibly intricate grapevine motif boasting beautiful pierced and chased elements that put the full gifts of each silversmith on display.
