This exceptional antique George V sterling silver pint mug has a bell shaped form onto a circular spreading foot. The lower portion of the mug is embellished with impressive applied alternating strap work designs, each ornamented with bud designs on a matte background. The body of this large silver mug is further encircled with an embossed girdle in addition to an applied moulded border to the upper rim. The surface of each solid silver mug is encircled with two fine and impressive broad bands of tooled decoration, in addition to the contemporary bright cut engraved crest of a spur erect between two wings. The upper rim of each mug is encompassed with a plain applied moulded border. Each mug is fitted with a plain C shaped handle, with tapering sockets. The underside of each mug bears the retailer's mark 'Hunt & Roskell'. These exceptional mugs retain the original gilded interiors. These twelve impressive antique silver drinking tots are fitted to the impressive hinged wood presentation box with satin and velvet lined interior. An exceptional, fine and impressive vintage Elizabeth II English sterling silver goblet; an addition to our wine and drinks related silverware collection This exceptional vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver goblet has a circular bell-shaped form onto a pedestal domed, spreading foot. The surface of this vintage silver goblet has a subtly planished finish. The body of the goblet is further ornamented with three impressive cast and applied leaf designs, emanating and conjoining with the plain waisted stem. The plain domed circular foot features an impressive tiered arrangement. This exceptional goblet was crafted by the female silversmith Joan Ruxton and assayed in Sheffield; the vessel is hallmarked with the date letter 'X' (1965) and the underside bears the mark 'A' (1968)*. * It can be determined that this artisanal silversmith will have opted to create an addition plate for the base to provide further weight to the piece, this component was hallmarked at a later date to the initial vessel.
