Vintage Orange Glass Decanter by Erik Hoglund for Boda

About the Item

A beautiful Swedish modern orange art glass decanter with stopper by Erik Hoglund for Boda (now known as Kosta Boda). A classic form designed by a master of the art glass craft and a pioneer of mid-century modern and Scandinavian modern design. Fantastic orange color with variations from the hand-made process of blowing the glass. In good vintage condition with one small flea bite on inside of stopper. Retains remnants off the original label. 6.25" x 6.25" x 10.5"

    A piece of Maija Isola's classic "Pepe" textile design for Marimekko from 1972 that is 2.33 yards long. Isola designed the pattern in 1970 and it shows two parrots facing each other while sitting on a tree branch. (Marimekko describes the two birds as "having a chat".) This pattern came in several color combinations. This piece has birds with purple bodies, turquoise beaks, and olive green markings sitting on light orange branches against a dark orange background shape.
