Set of Two Amber Glass Gulvvase Vases by Otto Brauer for Holmegaard

About the Item

Best known for this ”Gulvvase" design from 1962, Otto Brauer (1911–1984) started his career in the Danish glass industry at only 14 years of age and worked at the Holmegaard glassworks in the 1940s–1970s. Theses vases are today often accompanied with a contrasting colored ball on top but those balls were actually designed by Michael Bang and crafted at the same glassworks as the bottles.
