About the Item

Art Deco Candy and Nut dish features 2 round bowls, decorated by a whale figurine with a hoop handle that is ribbed on both sides, designed by Gerth and Gerth and made by Chase USA. The Chrome Plate over solid Brass serving dish measures 8.75 inches by 4.38 inches and is about 4.5 inches tall. Rare Collectors Find and great sturdy construction with the Chase centaur mark on the bottom of each dish. Fair condition with no dents or cracks, but loss of the chrome plating. History: During the early part of the century, home entertainment was a very serious business indeed. And the top tier of homewares for entertaining came from the Chase Company. Their gleaming chrome products were featured in all the best department stores, purchased by all the coolest party-givers, and were even mentioned in early books on entertaining. A-705-335
