French 19th Century Glazed Cream Bowl

About the Item

A dazzling emerald green glaze over terracotta elevates this 19th century French cream bowl from its humble dairy farm origins to the modern kitchen. The rim of the bowl offers a small spout for pouring off the precious cream, with two ridged handles to maintain a firm grip. A number “1” is carved just below the spout, otherwise the exterior is undecorated apart from the natural clay. Please view the detailed images to see the current condition. Base diameter: 7 ⅝”
