Japanese Porcelain Bowl Imari Ware Meiji Era 1900s

About the Item

This is a serving bowl made around 1900s (in Meiji era). It is made with style Imari-yaki (Imari ware). You can use as a serving bowl but also as a decoration. Dimensions: 18.5cm × 18.5cm × H 8 cm Imari-yaki (Imari ware) was started to made around Edo era (1603-1868). Imari yaki is porcelain produced around Arita city, in the Saga prefecture. Imari ware is light and delicate and has excellent durability because that porcelain is produced from porcelain stone. It is called Imari yaki (Imari ware) because of the names of the stations and ports used for shipping them.
