Murano glass bowl with 24ct gold and murrine, attributed to Alberto Donà.
This is a uniquely refined glass bowl, made by the famous Italian glassmaker Alberto Donà in the 1980s, utilizing blown Murano glass, submerged 24ct gold and submerged Murrine decorations. The look is simply amazing. It can be used as a bowl, or as an artistic centerpiece.
The bulge has an elegant sinuous shape and rests on a 4.5" diameter glass base with submerged gold.
This artwork is in perfect original condition, as documented in the attahched photos. You can notice a couple of small peculiarities on the surface, which in reality constitute the beauty and uniqueness of this craftsmanship.
