About the Item
Venetian Murano Glass Footed Bowl with Submerged Gold, Contemporary Italy 1990s
This outstanding footed fruit bowl was entirely handcrafted in the Venetian island of Murano by the famous glassmaker Carlo Tosi, also known as "Caramea", in the 1990s. The base and the bowl are made of transparent glass with submerged gold. The bowl glassmaking style is called "balloton". The blue glass stem was made using the torchon style. This amazing piece of art can be a marvellous decorative object, or it can be properly used as a fruit stand and donate a special Venetian touch to your breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Height 8.86" (22.5 cm), top diameter 8.66" (22 cm), and base diameter 4.33" (11 cm).
