Grand Cut Crystal & Dutch Silver Covered Sweet / Candy Bowl c.1880

About the Item

An outstanding large covered bowl or dish made from heavy hand-cut crystal, a true grand centrepiece. The Dutch silver mount is marked with the single sword mark used between 1814 to 1905; this piece dating to c.1880. The fabulous cast silver Lion's head handles can be removed, they slide to one side releasing what is essentially a hook; the silver mark is under one of the Lion's head handles. Superb condition, very minor wear commensurate with age and an impressive size with a diameter measuring 8 1/2" x 8" and standing 11 1/2" tall. Item: 43229.
