Large Antique French Gilt Bronze & Champlevé Enamel Mirrored Plateau or Tray

About the Item

A fine, large antique French mirrored plateau or centerpiece. In gilt bronze. With twin handles, a shaped rocaille border, and elaborate polychrome champlevé enamel decoration throughtout. Supported on 2 turned and 4 rocaille bracket feet. Perfect as a centerpiece, a tray, or plateau. Simply wonderful high-level French champlevé! Date: Late 19th or Early 20th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: It lacks one screw to the underplate under one foot and there is a small tear to one foot. The enamel is relatively well preserved with some minor flakes and spots loss here and there. There is some rubbing to the gold, some light edge wear, some light indentations here and there, some fine and light surface scratches, and other signs of light wear consistent with age. Marks: Apparently unmarked Measurements: Height: ca. 3 3/8 in. Length: ca. 18 5/8 in. Width: ca. 11 1/4 in. Items purchased from this dealer must delight you.
