Large Arts & Crafts Jugendstil Pewter Centrepiece with Green Glass Liner c1900

About the Item

Technical Description A magnificent pewter and green glass centrepiece or 'jardiniere' dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. Very much born from the Arts and Crafts movement, in the Jugendstil style containing elements of art nouveau and neoclassical styles. The original green liner has been beautifully cut with fans and prisms, the pewter exhibits berry sprigs as well as complex knotwork and geometrics. A wonderful centrepiece to adorn any table. Date & Origin Germany, c1900. Condition Glass - Excellent, age-related wear as shown. No chips cracks or restoration. Pewter - Very Good, some rubbing, no tears. Dimensions Height: 20cm Length: 46cm Width: 15cm.
