Rare Pair of Royal Worcester Porcelain Centrepieces, 1869

About the Item

Technical description A very rare pair of Royal Worcester centerpieces. The long bases are decorated with shells. One piece also features a lizard on the base. The male piece features a man stroking a puppy on his lap. The female example shows the lady gesturing to the lizard below. Both pieces have Diamond registration marks. One piece has an impressed Royal Worcester mark. Both are marked Phillips and Pearce Bond Street for the establishment where they would be sold. An exceptionally rare pair which you won't find on any other web site. Date & Origin London, England, 11th of August 1869. Period of Victoria. Condition Excellent, some very minor nibbles as shown. Dimensions height: 22.7 cm, width: 47 cm, depth: 14.7 cm. Weight 3275 grams Combined.
