Neoclassical Porcelain Center Piece
About the Item
We have collected quite a few centerpieces over the years, but I have never handled one this scale. Three biscque porcelain winged women rise out of foliate tails bear the weight of the enormous 21"diameter reticulated top with floral pillows on their heads. The bisque porcelain has been carefully detailed creating debth and sharpness. The large gold surfaces on the top of the base and the inside and underside of the bowl have fine depictions of cornucopia filled with fruit and flowers and garlands.
