A magnificent, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver goblet; an addition to our collection of wine and drinks related silverware. This magnificent antique Victorian sterling silver goblet has a circular bell shaped form onto a shaped pedestal to a plain rounded knop and circular spreading foot. The body of this silver goblet is embellished with an applied cartouche pertaining to the London Athletic Club accented with a uncial-style typeface and incorporating the motto 'Vincit Qui Patitur' - Who Endures, Wins, in addition to. Either side of the goblet features a cast and applied wing, each with ornamentation reproducing the details of the plumage. The upper rim of the vessel is encompassed with an applied moulded border.
