Swedish-Made Silver Epergne Circa 1852
A footed epergne designed for fruits or sweets. Its surface is adorned with embossed plant motifs. The item weighs 374 grams and bears a silver hallmark of 0.830 purity. The Swedish silver hallmark is struck independently on two parts of the item, along with the maker's mark and a date mark (X4) indicating the year of production as 1852.
The epergne is in particularly good condition, with minor dents and scratches on the upper part. The entirety is covered with a patina.
