About the Item
Art Deco Centrepiece is an original decorative group of objects realized in the 1930s.
Original tin with wood handles and knobs. Made in England.
Designed by Lloyd, Payne & Amiel, Manchester.
The group includes: One coffee pot (H 17 cm), one tea pot, one sugar bowl and a cream server.
Good conditions.
Very beautiful Art Deco English tea and coffee set. The pieces have a profiled round base with conical walls with hammered decoration and slightly curved shoulder zone. The cans have hinged lid and wooden handles and knobs and straight four-sided spouts.
This set has been realized by the English Lloyd, Payne & Amiel, Manchester. The firm is recorded as "Clock & Watch makers, jewelers, musical instrument dealers, opticians & importers of dining and drawing room clocks and bronzes suitable for presentation". They were at Shudehill in 1869 and in Thomas St, Manchester by 1888. The firm retailed Atkin Brothers wares under the trade name Windsor Plate.
