About the Item

This elegant Art Deco silverplate center piece was realized by the esteemed atelier of WMF Ikora in Germany circa 1925. Resembling a stylized Adrestia, or ancient Greek ship, the piece features streamlined open form sides with foliate detailing; circular embellishments in the center of each sides with raised streamlined detailing bifurcating their centers; and stylized geometric motifs throughout. The inside of the piece features a fitted glass insert with raised sides replete with striated detailing on all sides near its apex. With its beautiful attention to detail and clean modernist lines, this piece would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Deco to contemporary. The piece is in very good vintage condition. Germany, circa 1925 Dimensions: 22.25"W x 9"D x 8.75" H.
