19th C. Blue & Black German Cities Plates, Set of 6

About the Item

A collection of six unusual dessert plates with a wonderful cornflower blue decoration which contrasts beautifully with the central scenes in black with view of German cities. The cities depicted are: -Andernach -Koblenz -Cologne -Mainz -Ober Ingenheim -Schönberg They would also perfect as wall decoration for a dining room. These plates are antique: ca. 1890. The age marks give these plates a special charm. Good vintage condition with normal wear and some discoloration consistent with age. Plate "Coln" has two small chips at the back and one hairline crack. They are not visible at the front of the plate. See photos.
