3 Pc, Mottahedeh Vista Alegre "Mandarin Bouquet" Winterthur Adaptation

About the Item

Mottahedeh (American, founded early 20th century). A 3 piece porcelain grouping of Mandarin Bouquet from the Winterthur Adaptation consisting of (2) two 10.25" w dinner plates and (1) one 9.5" w plate. With Fitzhugh border named after an English family, was selected by George Washington for his dinner service at Mount Vernon. The bouquet motif is from a Chinese export porcelain punch bowl, c. 1800.
