Abstract Midcentury Art Ceramic Vase and Bowl Gambone Miro Style White Red 1950s
About the Item
Midcentury abstract art ceramic vase and organic formed bowl probably, made in Italy, France or Germany, circa 1950. The ovoid vase and the rounded freeform big bowl have a mainly white and faint spotty grey glaze with a black and bright red abstract 1950s decoration which reminds the works of Gambone and in some way paintings of Joan Miro. The beautiful vase is 18 cm / 7.09 inches tall and has a width of 10 cm / 3.94 inches, the bowl is 6.5 cm / 2.56 inches tall and has a maximum width of 29 cm / 11.42 inches. Both pieces stay in very good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use. No cracks, no restoration or later alterations. Both art pieces are really stunning, they are fantastic eyecatcher for any modern midcentury design interior or a wonderful addition to a collection of Gambone, Lurcat, Jouve art ceramic.
