About

Rare and large ceramic sculpture by Pop ceramicist Ka Kwong Hui. Signed. Hui immigrated to U.S. in 1948. Received a BFA in 1951 and a MFA in 1952 from Alfred University, New York. After graduating he moved to New York City. He taught ceramics at the Brooklyn Museum and set up a studio in Manhattan. He also taught at Douglas Collage and Rutgers University. His work began to be recognized in the mid-1960s, partly due to his collaboration with Roy Lichtenstein. He retired in New Jersey where he died Oct 17, 2003.
