Enameled vase by Carl-Harry Stålhane
About the Item
Stålhane played a major role in popularizing Swedish pottery during the 20th century, working for over thirty years at Rörstrand, one of the oldest ceramic producers in Europe. In the 1970s he founded his own ceramics workshop, Designhuset, and produced his own creations. His work is presented in numerous international museums, including the National Museum in Stockholm and MoMA in New York.
This vase with beautiful lines and a magnificent glaze enamelling is representative of the artist's elegant and timeless style. With its original shape and in perfect condition, the piece is signed by Stålhane under the base.
