First period Worcester coffee cup Prunus Root pattern

About the Item

This First period Worcester porcelain coffee cup is decorated with the hand painted blue and white "Prunus Root" pattern. This was a popular pattern that ran from 1752 through to around 1780. It has a diameter of 55 mm (2 1/8th inches) and stands 60 mm (2.25 inches) high. It does have a very shallow flake taken from the foot rim. It would date from around 1755
