Piero Fornasetti, Italy (designer) 'Melodramma' (Opera) series decorative dishes, (dishes, ashtrays, wall decorations) No.2: Pollione (Norma by Vincenzo Bellini) No.21: Otello (Otello by Giuseppe Verdi) Produced c. 1960 at the Fornasetti Atelier, Milan, Italy Porcelain, decorative gilded finish Each Diam. 13 cm, H 3.5 cm; Wt 420 g Beautiful rare original mid-century Fornasetti pieces, these can be used on the table top or hung on the wall as decoration (there are hanging holes on the back that make this easy). Please note: one dish (no.2) has a small period chip to the rim. It seems almost intentional and authentic.
