Goldscheider Inspired Czech Signed Ceramic Stylized Art Deco Head

About the Item

This Hungarian artist; Karl Grossl, Keramin was greatly influenced by The austrian artist Goldscheider. It is from the 30's. The FBS initials on the bottom are from Ferdinand, Bing and Sucessors a US supplier of pottery that was exported from many countries in Europe. The execution of this ceramic is meticulous as the turquoise curls are dimensional as are the severe features that have a Japanese feel to it in pure Art Deco style. It is hallmarked on the bottom; Made in Czechoslovakia FBS. It is called red ware. It has all markings on the bottom. The Lucite case has been added... it was not made at that time. Love the orange collared necklace. With the case, it is taller.
