Grete Marks Art Deco Bauhaus Turquoise, Royal Blue Ceramic Bowl or Vase Vintage

About the Item

This very rare Art Deco ceramic bowl and or vase is by the infamous Grete Marks from the 1930s. She was born Margarete Heyman in Cologne Germany. She studied at the Bauhaus School of Arts in 1920. Her functional ceramic pieces are composed of simple shapes as in circles and triangles. This is a very special rare and collectable ceramic of her work that is rarely if at all seen on the market. The colors are a turquoise background with a faint yellow line near the rim and elsewhere and royal blue with some faint black. Signed Germany with numbers of 369a/226 and a castle stamp with some form ion initials to the right.
