About the Item
Very Rare Goldscheider Ceramic Art Figure from around 1930:
Standing young lady with a brunette bobbed haircut in elegant sportswear: comfortable, short-sleeved waistcoat with a low cut at the front, long pants with pressed creases and turn-ups, lace-up sports shoes, the left hand in the trouser pocket, in the right hand holding the tennis racket on the shoulder and looking to the left.
On a black, elongated octagonal base with an oval upper edge.
Designed by Stephan DAKON (1904 - 1992), was one of the most important designers who worked for the Goldscheider manufactory from 1924 until the mid-fifties.
Model 5916 was created circa 1929.
