About the Item

Late 20th C. a hand-crafted ceramic decorative bowl. The design prominently features two small frogs sitting on a large, stylized lily pad, with delicate details such as a flower and additional buds. The frogs and the lily pad are hand-sculpted. The frogs, with their earthy green tones, are sculpted in a realistic yet whimsical manner. The edges of the bowl are irregular and flowing, mimicking the organic shapes found in nature. The piece is glazed in shades of green, brown, and blue. The flower adds a pop of color with deep reds and soft greens. The glazes used have a glossy finish, which adds vibrancy and depth to the scene. The bowl sits on on unglazed rope twist base. There are two indistinct marks on the underside of the bowl. Dimensions: 13.75"w x 13"d x 5"h Condition: Good. Small firing imperfection on rim (see photos).
