About the Item

Orgametry - Unique Organic vase, Aurore Measures: 18 x 5.5 x 8 cm Orgametry is the meeting of human geometric design and natural raw shapes in unique and Fine pieces through neo molding technique. - from sediments of the project based area ? Aurore Piette - Craftswoman of the sea based in France Design ENSAAMA Olivier de Serres Paris Fashion design ESAA Duperré Paris MA Material Futures Central Saint Martins School London Aurore Piette practice draws a neo vision of making by transgressing our current way of fabrication and the traditional Craft techniques. Inspired by the natural elements and craftsmanship*, the craftswoman of the sea, Aurore Piette, offers to redefine the notions of making and Craft by establishing neo rituals where nature as a manufacturer replaces the manufactured nature. Currently, awareness is rising for better consumption through a more transparent system. In this way, as a designer first, but also as a consumer, I felt the necessity to Challenge the current way of production and consumption by understanding and transgressing the path which a product goes through and to question: from what, from whom and how an item has been made? Here the nature becomes a metaphor of the maker, offering another dimension to the notions of origins and making. Thus, self-proclaiming her practices through contemporary Craft, passive - vegan design and wabi-sabi philosophy, the craftswoman of the sea aims to share a passive – respectful – transparent vision of what fabrication could be in a post-Industrial area. More than a journey into making, here MARECREO proposes a personal path defining values and convictions. Thus through this project, Aurore Piette wishes to offer to people the tools to experience their own journey. The aim is to share and broadcast values using materials as a tangible expression of self-prospection. Here the artefacts are an illustration of the path of discovery.
