A colorful Japanese Porcelain Ware ceramic bowl, with a lotus flower shaped rim. The interior of this bowl is decorated with a botanical theme of pink peony buds, green leaves and yellow and blue flowers. Two scenes depict two men sitting upon a yellow floor, with a woman gazing upon the two men. The center has a medallion encircled in gold, with a peony bud at the center.
The exterior of the bowl mimics the same scenes as the interior.
This would be a beautiful piece used as a bowl to hold oranges (oranges in South East Asia are good luck!) or for a coffee table to holds odds and ends.
