About the Item
Richard Carter's hand thrown butler tray is his signature piece. These trays are physically and technically challenging because of their sheer scale. The largest tray uses almost seventy pounds of clay, requires two people to handle it during production, and only one will fit in a kiln load at a time.
These substantial, timeless, and versatile trays can be used as a bar, stationary serving tray, or centerpiece. Appropriate indoors or outdoors.
