About the Item

Set of ceramics by Liisa Hallamaa for Arabia from the 1960/1970s. The set includes three vases, two bowls and two little candleholders. Good vintage condition, minor patina and wear consistent with age and use. The ceramics are sold as a set. !! All measurements are available by request !! Liisa Kaarina Hallamaa was a Finnish ceramist. Hallamaa graduated from the ceramics department of the Central School of Art and Industry in 1949. She started working at Arabia as early as 1945 and worked as an artist in its art department from 1957 to 1971. Her work was characterised by large vases and vases. The materials used were chamotte and stoneware. He also worked as an assistant to Aune Siimes and her work has been influenced by Kyllikki Salmenhaara. Hallamaa held solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions both in Finland and abroad, and was awarded several prizes. Her works are in the collections of the Helsinki Museum of Applied Arts, among others.
