About the Item

Silva Primitive Vessel by Studio Cúze Dimensions: D 30 x W 33 x H 38 cm Materials: Porcelain, copper glaze. Each piece is unique. Size, color, and shape may vary. Studio Cúze I am a Berlin based Japanese ceramic artist. I completed the Design and Lab courses at Ishoken, and Tajimi City Pottery Design and Technical Centre. When I create, I do not think my objects are the leading part in the presentation of a meal. Rather the most important focus lies in the food, the artistic cuisine, and its power to draw people together to enjoy it: It is the social aspect, rather than the product itself, that drives me to design. Therefore, I refer to my works as supporting actors; objects that exist naturally in our spatial environment. Many of my products are purposefully made large because I want people to come together using my products to join in the atmosphere and community of dining.

We advise you to keep it as a decorative object if you want to conserve the original aspect. About the savoir-faire, the modeled pottery The potters of northern Morocco perpetuate the ancient art of modeled pottery, which first appeared around 6,000 BC. The techniques and patterns used today are very close to those of their origins. This ancestral know-how, which has disappeared around the Mediterranean, still lives in the pre-Rif. Today, these potters are the guardians of this ancient art. The modeled pottery according to the ancestral art...
