Ceramic vase by Sting Lindberg, with silver inlay from "Grazia" series signed underneath. Made by Gustavsberg In Sweden around 1960 Good condition Signed .GUSTAVSBERG GRAZIA. Anchor N° 215. Sweden. The vase has a white matte glaze with intricate raised silver painted motifs Stig Lindberg (1916-1982) is one Scandinavia's most noted postwar designers. He joined the Gustavsberg studio in 1937 and was formed by Willhelm Kåge. He was named Kåge's successor in 1949 and became art director of Gustavsberg himself. His work was featured in Sweden's National Museum and has won many awards, including the Milan Triennale gold medal and Grand Prix. His designs from the 1950s and 1960s (such as this piece from 1967) are the most sought after.
