Tall Wood-Fired Ceramic Vase

About the Item

14 in H x 5 1/2 in W (3 in opening) Hand thrown, glazed and fired for fifty hours in an anagama kiln which is fed with wood over a long period, giving each piece unique qualities depending on where the flames, smoke and ash touch them. A world of subtle colors. The artist is an alchemist with his work, riding the line between controlling the material and the accidental. This piece will develop its personality with use and so bring a sense of ritual to the everyday.
