Vintage Italian Glazed Ceramic Gambone Style Rams Bowl Black, Brown, Tan

About the Item

This unique vintage Italian glazed ceramic Gambone style bowl has the ram design or a water buffalo in black outline on one end. It has a partial original sticker still intact but not legible. The glaze has crackle elements in the interior. It is Gambone meets Fantoni and may very well be an unsigned Fantoni with the partial label. It is mid century modern and from the late 50's or early 60's. Colors are black, tan, brown and other shades of that. This makes a great desk accessory or a cocktail table addition. Most interesting.

  • Signed Italian Glazed Red, White, Black Ceramic Jester And Birds, Bowl or Vessel
    Located in North Miami, FL
The whimsical and theatrical scene of hand painted Jesters, birds and designs on the front and back of this Italian hallmarked, vintage 1960s glazed ceramic or porcelain bowl is a piece of sculpture in itself. The rich color of blue red against outlines of black on white ceramic make this a conversational bowl, vessel or vase. Very Italian! It is hallmarked H.G. Italy with numbers of 101H8/B/S with a squiggly line. We have tried to do the research and it is very obscure and hard to pinpoint. We know it is a very special ceramic. It is 5.5" high to the top of the bowl not the handles. That is 7" H to the top of the handles. This is quite unusual and of the arena of a great quality. It has come from a private collection of high end vintage...
