Set of 6 Fine Art Deco Cut Crystal Water Glasses with Foliate Motifs
About the Item
This refined set of six Art Deco crystal water glasses were realized in France circa 1925. They offer a subtly conical body sitting on a round base that protrudes beyond the perimeter of the glass. The surface offers an abundance of stylized foliate patterns etched into the translucent crystal that testifies to their patently handcrafted aesthetic, harkening back to a bygone era of excellence in the construction of everyday objects. The geometric foliate embellishments also offers a beautiful formal counterpoint to the curvilinear lines of the glasses.
